I just got home from the hospital.
My son William and some of his friends were in a car crash this evening. William was released with s stiff neck, some bruises and a few cuts and scrapes. Evan doesn't remember what happened and has a bump on his head. Michelle, the driver, has mostly the same cuts and contusions as William but adds the trauma of being the driver. Taylor has the worst of it - she's in surgery right now for a broken femur and possibly a long recuperation.
The driver of the other car also had a broken leg which was apparently broken through the skin. William helped her by taking his shirt and applying pressure to the wound. He also helped Evan through his shock and made sure Taylor stayed immobile. He seems to have learned his Boy Scout first aid lessons well. I'm very proud of him.
I'm also very grateful that everyone is going to be ok eventually.
I'm going to cry for a bit now.

I think I would be having nightmares for weeks =/
It all will all right.
Crying for a bit now that the immediate crisis is over sounds like a healthy and normal plan.
Is there anything I can do to help?
I'm proud of that kid of yours. You must be too.
